If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last couple of years it’s as follows: Landscape photography will drive a body to new extremes. Don’t like wet feet? How about standing in cold snow melt water while you shoot this waterfall. Not a fan of heights? The only way this composition works is if I stand on this ledge. Am I kind of lazy? Here’s twenty pounds of photography gear to carry while you hike up this mountain. Would you rather sleep in? Well…
I have always seen the world a little differently than others, and I hope this comes across in my photography. Photography is an art and a science. Standing in front of incredible vistas is just as exciting to me as getting to provide beautiful wall art and framed prints to others that share the appreciation of the world.
My goal is to present not only what I have seen in nature, but what those scenes make me feel. Often, emotions from my own life impact how I see or photograph what is in front of me.
It is my belief that decorating your home or office with nature photography is the best way to bring the beauty of the world into your daily life. Studies have also shown that spending just a few minutes looking at peaceful landscapes will lower your stress and increase your happiness (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4690962/).
Whether you are moving into a new home or office, undergoing a major renovation, or just looking to change the look of your walls, there are many options from which to choose your themes, art, and decor. Making those decisions can be overwhelming and difficult. Of course, you will want to purchase those pieces that “spark joy,” but can wall art improve your life, your office environment, or the well-being of your customers?
